Our journey to a sustainable water cycle
Caring for our most valuable resource in WA is a big responsibility. We have 52,000km of pipeline servicing 2.6 million sq km. To put this in perspective, the combined length of our pipes would stretch around the equator 1.3 times. Think about what that means for plants and pumping power!
Located on the planet’s driest inhabited continent also means serious climate change impacts. Not to mention our soaring population and growing industrial demand.
To care for our land, air and waterways we need to be a global leader in planning for climate resilience.
Which is why, we're accelerating to net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2035. It takes a passionate, determined cast of thousands to secure our water future. Working together across the state, we're already on the road to net zero. Here’s how.
