How can you help?
In emergency circumstances when water pressure drops, your actions could help avoid outages.
You can help by limiting all non-essential water use. This includes:
- Switching off garden reticulation and hand watering only if necessary
- Avoiding washing vehicles, boats or pets
- Not leaving hoses running or hosing down pavements
- Avoiding topping up pools and spas
- Keeping showers to 4 minutes and skipping baths or limiting to a small volume if essential
- Restricting use of water-using appliances including washing machines
- Using a plug in the sink to capture any rinse water for re-use.
