How to set up a payment arrangement
In this article
If you’re unable to pay your bill all at once, you can set up a payment arrangement to pay your bill in smaller, regular amounts.
Find out how to apply or update a current payment arrangement.
How does a payment arrangement work?
A payment arrangement is an agreement you make with us to pay your bill in instalments, over a set amount of time.
Depending on your financial situation, you can choose the amount you pay in weekly, fortnightly or monthly instalments.
Please note: A payment arrangement only applies to your current bill and will end once your bill is paid off.
You’ll need to reapply for a payment arrangement each time you receive a new bill that you’re unable to pay.
However, if you need to adjust your current payment arrangement to include a new bill, please call us on 13 13 85.
Is interest charged on payment arrangements?
While you’re in a payment arrangement, you won’t be charged interest.
However, if you miss a payment, you may start to be charged interest on the amount you still owe.
What if I need to adjust an existing payment arrangement?
If your situation has changed, or you have a new bill that you want to include in your current payment arrangement, please call us on 13 13 85.
We’ll help you work out an adjusted payment amount and frequency that best suits your current needs.
Am I eligible for a payment arrangement?
Homeowners and business owners can apply to set up a payment arrangement. Each application will be reviewed to make sure you meet the eligibility criteria.
If you’re a tenant, you’ll need to get the property owner to contact us first to give their consent.
In the meantime, you may be able to extend your bill due date.
