  • Janine Freeman appointed to Water Corporation board for three-year term
  • Brings wealth of experience in public service and not-for-profit sector

Water Minister Dave Kelly today announced the appointment of social equity advocate and former WA Member of Parliament, Janine Freeman, to Water Corporation's Board of Directors.

Ms Freeman served her community for 13 years as the Member for Mirrabooka, stepping down from State Parliament in 2021.

She is the current independent chair of Fair Food WA and the State Emergency Relief Committee and brings a wealth of experience within the public sector and with social services organisations such as Anglicare WA, where she is a board member.

A passionate advocate for fairness and equity, Ms Freeman brings extensive corporate governance experience and has served as Acting Speaker and Chair of the Legislative Assembly Education and Health Standing Committee.

Ms Freeman joins the board for a three-year term, with her appointment starting from March 9, 2022.
