Water Corporation will start work next week on a $3.2 million project to install a new water main along Pebble Beach Boulevard in Meadow Springs.

The project involves the installation of 1.7 kilometres of new water main to help cater for increasing growth in the area.

Water Corporation Assets Delivery General Manager Nathan Hardwick said the new water main was an important piece of new infrastructure for residents in Meadow Springs and Lakelands.

“The Meadow Springs and Lakelands area has quickly expanded over the past few years, and this new water main will help support this rapid growth,” Mr Hardwick said.

“Pebble Beach Boulevard will be reduced to one lane at various stages of the project, between Kirkland Way and Meadow Springs Drive.

“To ensure the safety of both our crew working on the project, we are asking motorists and pedestrians to carefully observe any traffic signs, including the reduced speed limit, while the project is under way.

“To minimise disruption in the area as much as we can, we are installing the water main under the road, to reduce the impact on driveways, footpaths and verges along Pebble Beach Boulevard.”

Mr Hardwick thanked the local community for its patience while the important water infrastructure was built.

The project is expected to be completed by September 2019.
