Splash of Colour arts program to brighten up Mundaring

An ordinary looking green cabinet at a wastewater pump station along Hartung Street in Mundaring received a makeover on the weekend, courtesy of the Splash of Colour program.

The State Government, through the Water Corporation, runs the Splash of Colour Community Art Program to transform everyday water and wastewater assets into colourful creations that express the community's connection to water.

Artist Melski McVee worked with students from Mundaring Primary School last Friday to develop the design based on their connection with water and Mundaring Weir.

The school will be presented with a photo of the completed artwork at a special assembly on November 30, 2018 to recognise their achievement of 20 years of participating in the Water Corporation's Waterwise Schools Program.

The green cabinet in Mundaring was the 38th asset to be transformed through the Splash of Colour Community Art Program in WA. The program has received overwhelming positive feedback from the community.
