Water Corporation will continue work from mid-February to refurbish 850 metres of wastewater pipe around West Perth and Perth to extend the life of this important infrastructure by at least 50 years.

Water Corporation General Manager Assets Delivery, Nick Churchill, said the projects formed part of an ongoing program to reline and refurbish wastewater pipes across the State.

“We use trenchless technology to reline wastewater pipes where possible, to minimise the impact on the community by reducing the need for extensive excavation,” Mr Churchill said.

“The community may notice an increase in activity along impacted pipeline routes, however traffic management will be in place at all times and disruption will be kept to a minimum.

“I thank the community for its patience while we carry out this essential work.’’
