About the offer

The offer includes:

  • Identifying and repairing pipe leak(s) in irrigation pipe(s).  
  • Replacing or repairing faulty irrigation solenoid valves. 

All services must include a check of the automatic controller and, if required, an adjustment. 

This rebate is to assist with the cost of fixing specific high water-waste irrigation issues, not for general maintenance checks.  

This rebate is a limited offer and is only available on eligible services completed between 1 September 2025 and 31 May 2026.  

Rebate funds may be exhausted before the closing date of 31 May 2026. We will advise on this page if the offer is to close early.  

To be eligible for this rebate you need to:  

  • Have a Water Corporation account 
  • Purchase an eligible service during the offer dates.  
  • Have an existing irrigation system which has watered your garden within the last 2 years and connected to Water Corporation scheme water. 
  • Receive a checklist from the irrigator on the day of your service confirming the work that has been undertaken.   
  • Apply for the rebate within 30 days of having your service.  
  • Have used an Approved Garden Irrigator who is part of the program. 
  • Have property located in one of the following towns:

  1. Find your Approved Garden Irrigator here. During warmer months, specialists may experience a high volume of enquiries.  
  2. When planning your irrigation work, make sure the irrigator is aware that you intend to claim the rebate as this will allow them to prepare a Rebate Checklist for your submission and bring it on the day. You must be in attendance during this work to sign and receive your service checklist. 
  3. Complete the application form below within 30 days of the work being completed. You will need the following documents when you apply: 
  • Your paid tax invoice, showing the purchase of an eligible service as outlined above. 
  • Your Waterwise Irrigation Rebate checklist completed by an Approved Garden Irrigator confirming the work that has been undertaken to save water. 
  • Your Water Corporation bill to reference your account number. 

Please note: You will need to provide scans or photos of the invoice and checklist (both will be provided by the irrigator) with your rebate claim. The checklist must be signed by you and the irrigator.

Frequently asked questions

Unfortunately, no. To ensure that the eligible weather-based irrigation controller is set-up and programmed in line with the watering roster and waterwise best practices, the work must be carried out by an endorsed waterwise irrigation specialist. You will need to have proof, in the form of an invoice or receipt, that a Waterwise Garden Irrigator set up your controller to be eligible for the rebate. If you install the product yourself, you will not be able to claim for any part of the offer.

No. The rebated products are selected in consultation with industry and chosen only if they meet strict water saving criteria. Irrigation Australia and Water Corporation welcome suggestions on emerging products that may be considered for a rebate due to technology that assists with water efficiency.  

No. Unfortunately the rebate does not cover any other costs including any costs charged by an electrician to assist with the controller being installed.

You must send your Weather-based Irrigation Controller Programming Service Checklist that the Waterwise Garden Irrigator will fill out with you. This checklist must be signed by you to confirm the consultation and set-up has been undertaken. Checklists without a customer signature will not be approved.

All rebates will be processed as a credit to each customer’s Water Corporation bill as default. In exceptional circumstances we may consider alternative arrangements. Please advise us of a request for consideration when you submit your application form. 

Yes, if you have a Water Corporation account number at the property and meet the requirements under the terms and conditions. 

Yes. You can claim a rebate for up to 3 properties to ensure rebates are available for many customers.

Yes, as long as the owner of the property hasn’t already applied for this rebate and is aware of the work being undertaken in line with your rental agreement.

This offer is only for Water Corporation customers in Albany, Dunsborough and Yallingup. If you live outside this area, other offers are available on our Waterwise Offers page.

No. The Waterwise Irrigation Design Shops listed on the website have been selected as they are members of Irrigation Australia and have completed waterwise training on industry best practice. If you purchase an eligible controller from somewhere else, unfortunately you will not be eligible for the rebate.

No. The Waterwise Garden Irrigators listed on the website have been selected as they are members of Irrigation Australia and have completed waterwise training on industry best practice. If your controller is installed by an irrigator that is not listed on the website, unfortunately you will not be eligible for the rebate.

Applications for the Waterwise Irrigation Rebate open on 1 September 2025. The program closes on 31 May 2026, or earlier if allocations are exhausted.
