Water Corporation's long‑running graduate program continues to set the benchmark for training and development in Western Australia, providing emerging science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) professionals with opportunities to build their careers in the water sector.
Recognised as Australia's top government‑run graduate course, the program has, for 35 years, equipped hundreds of WA graduates with hands‑on experience and industry‑leading skills that support long‑term career growth within the organisation.
In 2026, a further 30 engineering and data science graduates from across Western Australia will join the program, gaining access to specialised training, mentoring and practical project work that prepares them to contribute to the State's future water needs.
Endorsed by the Australian Association of Graduate Employers (AAGE), the program received the highest national rating of any government‑run graduate course in the organisation's most recent rankings and placed sixth overall among medium‑sized programs for the second year in a row - underscoring its strength as a development pathway for young professionals.
The program gives graduates the opportunity to help shape solutions to Western Australia's most significant water challenges, applying their skills to real‑world issues that affect communities across the State.
Now a nationally recognised two‑year development pathway, the graduate program continues to attract motivated early‑career STEM professionals eager to learn from industry experts, gain valuable on‑the‑job training and contribute to securing Western Australia's water future.
Applications are now open for the graduate program, commencing in August 2026 and February 2027. Applications close Monday, 6 April 2026. Click here to find out more.
