Our waterwise programs support businesses across gardening, landscaping, plumbing and irrigation to design, install and maintain outdoor spaces that suit our climate, use less water and support healthy communities.
If you’re endorsed, you can promote your waterwise services with confidence. You’ll also be listed as a trusted provider, helping customers choose a business that shares their values.
Waterwise garden centres and nurseries

The Waterwise Garden Centre Program is coordinated by the Nursery & Garden Industry Association WA (NGIWA). The program is open to high-quality garden centres and nurseries in WA that aim to promote water-efficient products and practices in the community. It supports positive behavioural change by influencing trends towards more water-efficient garden designs, plant selection, mulches, irrigation considerations, soil-wetting agents and associated products.

The Waterwise Landscaper and Garden Design program is ideal for landscapers and garden designers in WA. It helps them enhance water-use efficiency in their landscape and garden projects.
The program sets basic standards for:

- oil and soil improvement
- mulching
- turf practices
- water reuse
- rainwater harvesting
- water-sensitive urban design
The program helps participants make conscious choices about water balance in design. It aims to reduce overall water use and guide clients on the best water practices.
